# Your programme. A week you can actually follow.

Programme Companion · Free pilot 0.1.0 · 27 September 2026

This is a small, working local workspace for turning one approved lesson or programme excerpt into a source-linked weekly action plan. It includes a useful sample you can try immediately. It is not a live AI service or a replacement for your teacher or coach.

## 1. Open your workspace

1. Extract the entire ZIP into one folder. Keep its files together.
2. Open `index.html` in a modern desktop browser. There is no install, server, API key or build command.
3. Try the sample: check off an action, open “Why this step?”, and write a reflection.
4. Use **Edit plan** to change the programme name, weekly goal, action wording or estimated time.

The sample is original Labgenz demonstration material for nonclinical learning, not a customer result. Completion counts are your own check-ins, not proof of learning or elapsed time.

## 2. Make a week from your own material

1. Select a short lesson or programme excerpt you own or have permission to use. Remove sensitive personal or client information.
2. Click **Make it mine → Copy setup prompt**, or open `SETUP-PROMPT.md` and copy its contents.
3. Paste it into your own AI conversation. Add your excerpt and answer its questions about the goal, time available and difficulty applying it.
4. Review the proposed actions. Check that they faithfully follow the source and fit your time. An exact quote does not automatically make an interpretation correct.
5. Ask for the final JSON. Save it as a `.json` file or copy the JSON object.
6. Click **Import plan**, choose the file or paste the JSON, then confirm replacement.

This is a **manual handoff** to your own AI, not an account connection. The workspace does not run a model, share data with your AI, install skills, call MCP tools, send messages or operate in the background. Your provider's features, plan limits, privacy rules and any costs apply separately. Provider-specific setup has not yet passed nontechnical user acceptance testing; no Claude/ChatGPT compatibility certification is claimed.

## 3. Keep your progress

- Edits, completed actions and reflection are saved to this browser's local storage when available.
- Click **Export backup** to download the complete current week as JSON. Keep it alongside this folder.
- Import that JSON to restore or move the week. A valid import replaces the current week only after confirmation.
- The free workspace holds one week at a time. Export before starting the next week; keep dated files if you want a history.
- Browser storage is not a backup. Private mode, blocked storage, clearing browser data, moving this folder or using another browser may prevent persistence. File-based browser storage behavior differs by browser.
- Windows on the same site and browser share one saved week. Changes synchronize between them. If another window changes the week while an editor/import is open, the stale change is blocked: close and reopen that dialog to review the latest week before trying again.
- If you use the online preview, its saved work stays on that site/browser and does not automatically transfer to the downloaded kit. Export from the preview, then import into the kit.
- Do not use a shared computer for sensitive programme material. There is no login, encryption or separate client accounts. No data leaves the workspace through application network requests, but text you separately send to an AI is governed by that provider's policies.

## Recovery and troubleshooting

**The page is blank:** extract every file, including `model.js`, `workspace.js` and `workspace.css`, rather than opening `index.html` inside a ZIP viewer. Try a current desktop browser. Mobile file preview apps may not run a full HTML workspace.

**Copy does not work:** browsers can block clipboard access for local files. The app shows a selectable prompt, or copy `SETUP-PROMPT.md` manually.

**My JSON is rejected:** remove Markdown fences; ask your AI for only valid JSON. Keep 1–7 actions. Each sourceQuote must be copied exactly from sourceText. Max file size: 100 KB. Invalid imports leave the current plan unchanged. Use `sample-plan.json` as a known-good reference.

**Saving is unavailable:** keep the page open and export JSON. The app will warn you. Reimport the backup next time.

**My saved data cannot be read:** the sample opens without overwriting the invalid saved data. You can import a backup and continue for this session, but automatic saving remains blocked while the saved copy is invalid. Export your recovered work before closing. Keep both your backup and invalid saved data for support/recovery; do not clear browser storage until you have secured the recovery file.

**Starting over:** export any work you need, then choose **Reset sample** and confirm. This replaces only this product's local saved week, not other websites or files.

## Scope, support and rights

Pilot: use it personally for evaluation, testing and feedback. No commercial client distribution, resale or rebranding rights are granted yet. See `LICENSE.txt`. A future coach edition is a separate proposed product, not a feature of this file.

For issues, use Labgenz's published website contact route and state “Programme Companion 0.1.0”, browser/version and reproduction steps. Do not send programme/client data unless specifically requested through a suitable channel. No support response time, continuous maintenance or perpetual updates is promised for this pilot.

Source schema version: 1. No automatic update or data migration runs. Back up JSON before replacing any kit files. Future releases must state supported schema versions and migration instructions. A retirement policy and commercial terms remain prerequisites to a paid release.

See `ACCEPTANCE-TESTS.md` for the checks you can repeat and `manifest.json` for exact product status.
